Adopter Memories of Rudy: I remember coming to PIN and Rudy was in the front room in his chair. What I did not know was that he had a kitten tucked inside his shirt - keeping it warm. It was only a few days old. I will always remember how passionate he was about the animals. Rudy was the most kind and gentle man. He truly loved each and every animal Pets In Need rescued. Memorial for BILL GROSS, PIN lost a remarkable animal friend /shelter contributer Sunday, October 25, 2009. He rescued lost/abandoned cats and dogs with skilled expertise. He NEVER even left a deceased wild or domestic animal on the roads he traveled - that how much he respected animals. He and his late wife, Annie, adopted many homeless cats and dogs. They volunteered at various no-kill shelters, including PIN. Bill was known for his quick wit, humor and gentleness. Despite having many pets at home, Bill adopted an older blind and deaf dog when his friend passed away. (The owner, despite being a seasoned no-kill volunteer, DIDN'T provide a Last Will for her dogs/cats) That was the angel our friend Bill always was. Together, Bill and Rudy are watching over Pets In Need.
